About Us

DC Dance AZ's primary goal has been the same for the last 12 Seasons..... to help the individual student become a graceful, poised person with highly developed classical dance skills, self-discipline and an attitude of cooperation and teamwork. Our students are aesthetically prepared to appreciate and support the art of dance for a lifetime. We are also passionate about helping our students pursue whatever dance goals they may have whether that be dancing professionally, ballet, high school dance, Pom etc.

What separates us from the rest

DC Dance AZ is a non-competition performing arts studio! We a have layered level based curriculum that trains our dancers classically and technically. We see dance as art not a competition.

We pride ourselves on offering age-appropriate costumes, choreography and music. At DC Dance AZ parents can trust that their child will be in a wholesome, family environment free from the overly mature themes that have become common at other dance studios. We are different and it shows!

Programs of Study

Creative Movement Program

The Creative Movement Program introduces children to the art of danceby promoting the exploration of creativity and expression through movement. We offer:

MOM/TOT: AGES 18-36 MONTHS

CREATIVE MOVEMENT, AGES 3-5

Recreational (5-18yrs)

DCDA Recreational program follows a carefully designed curriculum with levels of study. Formal training begins at the Youth Level where the foundation of classical technique is delivered to beginning and intermediate classes in Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Hip-Hop, Musical Theater, POM, Tumbling/Acro, Contemporary, and Aerials.

Company Program (6-18YRS)

Our Performance Company groups follow a rigorous, pre-professional curriculum that is level based and technically trains dancers in ballet, jazz, tap, and theater arts. Our company groups are divided by level and ability and include Mini Company, Apprentice Company, Junior Company, and Elite Company. These groups train multiple days a week and are for dedicated and focused students wanting to train in a professional environment.
